Re: the search for St. Malo's Best breakfast !
There are two markets open on Saturdays, in Paramé and Rocabey. If you are coming by Brittany Ferries, neither are very close to the terminal. Rocabey being the nearest and also better than Paramé. For a cheap b'fast, look for the van selling galettes (Breton pancakes). Ask for a "Galette complete" for a full meal or just a "Galette saucisse". They should also have "une bolée" of cider to wash it down with. There will be nowhere to find an English type of breakfast on the cheap, not even in the walled town of St. Malo. Rocabey market is about a 2/3 km walk from the terminal. There is also a large shopping mall built around the "Carrefour" supermarket, but this lies about 5 kms from the terminal. There are buses that go out there but I have no idea of times or routes.
