I have been given an opportunity to travel to Rocheport, MO (about 2 hours west) and float 6 miles on the Missouri River with Mighty-Mo Canoe Rentals. Has anyone heard of this before? Floating the river in a canoe?! They are calling it safe, but I'm not sure about the current, etc... Thanks for any knowledge
I see that you live in Columbia. Have you done any of the other popular float trips in southern/central MO? We used to do them every summer when I was in my 20's, and those rivers were usually so low in at least one place that we'd have to get out and drag the boats. I know the MO is a much bigger river, but I would imagine if they're doing trips, it must be in a pretty calm section.
