St. Kitts for those who aren't swimming in money?

by LoveIsOnTheRoad Online Now Dec 14, 2010 at 4:19 AM

Hey all, I was wondering if anybody could point me to some bed&breakfast, guesthouses, or homestays on St. Kitts. The only real places to stay I can seem to find online are resort style and/or ridiculously expensive. It just seems impossible the entire island is really that full of family/weekend trip resorts. Any locals or travellers who can point me to some rooms that aren't that expensive or a person I can stay with? I don't require much, rooms are to sleep in when your not out :) Thanks up front (I saw a question along these lines from a couple of years ago but without defenitive answer hence the question.)

Hi there, Are you still thinking about saint Kitts? I live here now and I have seen some guest houses in town. If you are still wanting to come I will find out the rates. I am in town a couple tie a week, it won't be a problem. Food is expensive here, even if you go to the local grocery store. But there are a few interesting historical areas to see. Mostly it is a place to beach and drink.
