      Roquebrune-Cap-Martin Apr 26, 2013 at 1:53 PM

I am having a difficult time figuring out how to get to Roquebrune-Cap-Martin via train and end in the town proper. I am trying to get down to Le Corbusier's Le Cabanon. What is the station precisely called and who services it?

Good Shore Excursions in Toulon, France?

      Toulon 7 hours ago

Our ship will be docking in Toulon, France early December. I am thinking Aix en Provence is probably the best choice. Does anyone know of good shore excursion companies? I would really like to tour a perfumerie or lavender field, but I don't think lavender is in season that time of year :(

    • Four days to get from Montpellier to Nice - whats best to see?

      Avignon Apr 23, 2013 at 4:50 PM

      Hi,
I am arriving into Montpellier on Sunday evening, and need to be in Nice by Friday evening - what are the best things you would recommend I do and the nicest towns along the route?
Is Montpellier worth staying in? Should I just head to Avignon and spend my time around there? Is Marseille worth visiting given my short time?

    • Central Location in Nice

      Nice Apr 29, 2013 at 1:36 PM

      Hi all,

Group of young women visiting Nice early July and hoping to stay in a central location close to shops, historic/cultural sites, bars/restaurants in the evening and relatively easy access to a beach. Will only be staying for two nights so would prefer to spend less time travelling and more time doing and making the most of the town.

What areas would you recommend - so far I have been recommended 'Promenade des anglais' or the 'old town'?

      Kind Regards

      Electric car rental

      Aix-en-Provence May 9, 2013 at 1:08 AM

hello! i'm renting a car for my trip in Provence and I have 2 qns..

      1. I'm taking a train from Paris and arriving at Aix-en-Provence TGV. Is there a difference between Aix-En-Provence TGV and Aix-En-Provence Gare TGV? Is this the same place?

Reason i'm asking is because I was on autoeurope and there were 2 stations under Aix-en-Provence TGV. Strange.

      2. Is it practical to rent an electric car? (Citroen C-Zero). Its a lot cheaper but i'm just wondering if i'll have any issues with the charging, especially if we're driving from village to village.. not sure how accessible are charging stations over in Provence.

Any help would be hugely appreciated, thanks!

      Paris to Aix-en-Provence

      Aix-en-Provence May 11, 2013 at 3:36 PM

We're thinking about taking the TGV from CDG to Aix-en-Provence when we go to Paris next spring. We'll stay there for 3 days and head back to Paris for 5 days. Does this seem reasonable or too rushed?

      transportation to Villa Ephrusi

by bajalin Online Now Dec 30, 2009 at 6:24 PM

I will have a port day in Monte Carlo on a Sunday. There is no bus service on Sundays and I would like to know how to get to my desired sites. I thought I could take the train to Villefranche. Then I would like to visit Villa Ephrusi and Eze. Are taxis the only way to get around? I could walk reasonable distances, but I am limited by time.

    • Getting there from the cruise ship port

by soules Online Now Mar 26, 2009 at 6:31 PM

We will be in Villefreche in May, on a cruise. What is the best transportaion to go from port to the Rothchild Palace? Also, would like to go to Monaco that day. Any suggestions on getting around? Last time we were there, we went to Nice and Monaco on our own, catching a taxi and we had a very tough time finding one in port and then in Monaco. I don't want to be stuck again.

early morning transport to Nice airport?

by knoxvillesam Online Now Mar 24, 2008 at 1:44 PM

We (four of us) are staying for a week in St. Jean Cap Ferrat and have early morning flights (7:00 am) out of the Nice airport on a Saturday morning (June 7, 2008). We will have a rental car our week in St. Jean Cap Ferrat but are concerned about returning it before the rental agency opens that morning and would prefer returning it a day early and getting a taxi/limo from our condo in St. Jean Cap Ferrat to the airport that morning. Can anyone tell me the name of a limo or taxi company that can accommodate our needs? Or is this something that is done routinely and needs no advance reservation? Thanks in advance, Sam
