Hi, My husband and I would like to take the ferry from S. Croix to St. Thomas but I sometimes get seasick. Has anyone taken this ferry and can tell me if the waters are usually calm or rough?
I have never taken that ferry but I know that it is a rather long ride (more than an hour?) across open water. Even with the usual calm caribbean waters, any wind can make for a choppy ride. I would suggest that you have some sort of seasick pills with you for the trip.

We would like to take the ferry from St. Croix to St. Thomas next month. I get seasick but I do use meds. I was wondering if anyone has done this run before and could tell me how it went.

I also get seasick easily, even the most calm waters bother me and make me sick. I took the ferry to St John and also St Croix when we visited St Thomas few years back, but I took pills to help me out. Talk to your doctor and ask him to give you a prescription for MECLIZINE. Start taking it a day before your trip, so the medicine has time to kick in. The waters are not calm (at least for me!). I did not get sick and was able to enjoy the ride, but I would not consider taking the ferry without the help of the medication.

Thanks, Monica for your answer. I will take scopace, which is the pill form of the patch. I guess we will go then.
