We are planning book an vacation rental in interlaken. we choosed the apartment from the below site
This is the first time we are booknig from the owner directly instead of using regular booking sites like booking.com.
These vacation rentals are not found in regular booking sites. We not sure if this is a common practice in swizterland.
Is it safe to transfer the money directly to owners account ?
Thanks in advance
URGENT please! We depart for Europe in the morning from US.
Can our family of 4 purchase our tickets to Montreux from Geneva on the spot on 6/22?
Not sure if the trains fill up. We will have luggage, getting off the TGV.
Should we need to pre-book, please help me with best link for U.S.
My family and I (two adults and one 5-year old child) are planning a long weekend in the summer in Switzerland. We will be flying into Geneva, spending one night in Bern, and then two nights in Murren in the Bernese Oberland, before departing from Geneva again. I can't figure out the cheapest rail options for this itinerary (Geneva Airport-Bern-Murren return) - there seems to be a plethora of rather confusing half-fare travelcards and inter-regional travelcards! Can anyone help? Thank you.
Need help, for ticket to top of europe, should i buy earlier? My trip on 6sept 2013. How about train to basel.? Is it ok to buy on the spot?
Thanks in advance
I plan to go for 2 nights and wonder which /where to stay the best. I plan to go to top of Europe. i travel from paris to lauterbrunnen.
Need your advise. thanks.
My travel will be on 5th and check out 7th or day after. really appreciate your help.
I with my wife and 2 kids have planned trip from London to Basel, switzerland in August. We then wanted to rent a car and follow the below itinerary
Day 1 - enter a small German town to visit then proceed to Zurich to have night stay
Day 2,3 - night stays at Lauterbrunnen and visit core places
Day 4 - stay at monteaux before proceeding to Geneva to board the flight back
My queries are:
a) Are there are any precautions required for the road travel in Switzerland and Germany
b) I see speed limit at many places like 60 kms in 1 hour travel from google maps. Is the road travel slow because of hilly roads or small towns with restricted speed limits
c) We have already booked entering into Basel and exiting from Geneva, how does this itinerary sounds and any suggestions within them
d) We still will be using public transport to places like jungfrau, so please suggest places that we can go using public transport rather than in car wherever it will be tedious
e) How about the availability of gas stations, rest areas and pharmacies/medical facilities (for emergencies)
I will come up with more questions as we near our travel.
Should we bring the winter jacket to lauterbrunnen? We are planning to stay there for 2 night in sept, 5. N what to go to top of europe. Appreciate you guys opinion
Thanks in advance
We are travelling in august to Interlaken, we would like to stay in near by towns around Interlaken like Goldswill or Riggenberg. Can anyone tell me how long the public transport runs between interlaken and the towns. Generally we would like to go back at 10:00 pm in the night. Is it possible if we stay in any of these small towns.
would appreciate a quick reply.

I'll be spending about 24 hours in Zurich prior to my return flight at night (late Oct) and am hoping to visit the following places. Appreciate your advise on the jam packed itinerary. I will be arriving in Zurich by train around 5pm and will be staying at the Youth Hostel. My flight on the following night is at 10pm.
I'm hoping to visit the following attractions:
- Old Town (Altstadt)
- Church of Our Lady (Fraumunster)
- Great Church (Grossmunster)
- Lake Zurich
I initially planned to leave my luggage at Zurich HB train station prior to exploring. Just wondering how close these places are and if I'm able to be back by 6pm to the train station to make my way to the airport.
Is there enough to do for a week in early December for non skiers? Is the skiing for all ranges of ability? And does anyone know of the prices of lift tickets please? Thanks heaps to anyone that can help. Very much appreciated.
Does anyone know the symbolism of the many items hanging on the outside crucifixes in Saas Fee? I have heard, only, that the rooster is a reminder that Peter would deny Christ by the time the rooster crowed three times. There is a hand, a small hammer, other tools, a rising sun, a side view of the sun, some "swords", a ladder, and much more.
