Does anyone now how can I travel from Saarbruecken to Brussels? Are there any regional trains or special combinations to get there? Thanks in advance
It's either bus to Luxemburg, or train to Trier and then Luxemburg, and then onwards to Brussels by train. See www.bahn.de for times. (You can also go via France, but I'd advise against that). Trains in Belgium and Luxemburg don't have prices that are differentiated by category, so no, you don't save money by staying on "regional" trains. Just get a ticket in Saarbrücken for either the route via Trier, or the bus to Luxemburg (you need to reserve that one apparently) and go.

Bus Saarbrücken to Luxembourg City, from there with an IC train to Brussels valid from 11. Dec. 2011 on cfl.lu:81/NR/rdonlyres/5D97B... Single ticket for the bus is EUR 8,00. The IC train is EUR 35,40 in 2nd class. http://www.b-europe.com

You can find on page 4 (bottom) of the linked Saarbrücken-Luxembourg bus brochure a combined timetable bus + train for Saarbrücken to Brussels.

Thanks guys, I´ve found b-europe a very useful website and it seems you can go from Saarbruecken to Luxembourg by bus (if you get a return ticket is a lot cheaper btw)and then take a train to Brussels. I´m getting a Bahncard as well so it should n´t be too expensive. Thanks again

> if you get a return ticket is a lot cheaper btw) Return ticket for what? The bus? Please note that the EUR 14 ticket is a one day return ticket. For the trains you can get cheaper tickets if you buy in advance. Not related to my knowledge to a return trip. > I´m getting a Bahncard as well so it should n´t be too expensive. Won't gain you anything for this trip: CFL bus and CFL/SNCB train.
