Hi there,
I am traveling to Croatia for a festival in Rovinj this summer and after having visited Croatia over the last two summers and not seen anything out side the festivals I am keen to make sure I make the most of my trip this time.
Is anyone able to advice on which are the best national parks to visit, as well which ones might be closest to Rovinj?
Thanks a bunch!! :)
A nice sea voyage!!!!
After my time in Croatia this is way i intend to exit as i fly
home from Italy
Want to get to Venice then work my way back to Rome to
fly home so what is ferry situation
Is it a ferry or hydrofoil or choice of both ??????
We're considering spending 2 weeks in July or August in Sorici just outside Rovinj.
Will it become horribly crowded due to the Italian tourists in August?
And does this area hold enough "attractions" for a 6 year old child? I know the beaches are rocky so it may be a bit difficult for him to enjoy it as much as a sand beach.
Just curious what other outdoor attractions are available in the region (beautiful hiking trails, lakes, family-friend beaches, etc).
Me and some friends (5 people) are looking for an appartment during unknown festival (9-15th of September 2013) ... can anyone help us out? Most places very close to Valadiso are booked up by the festival and sold to participants at relatively high prices. Does someone know a place in that area that has no deal with the festival?
Thank you!
I'm looking for somewhere for a couple of nights starting next weekend. Small hotel, guesthouse, B&B... Just has to be clean, quiet & comfortable. It doesn't have to be in the town. We'll have a car, so anywhere in the Istria region - even on the islands - would be worth considering.
Tank you one and all for your responses to our query regarding B&Bs
Could anyone recommend a B&B suitable for two Australian seniors in Roving for a couple of nights in September this year, and similarly for Ljubjana and Venice please?
Need an urgent advice for how to get from Rovinj to Ljubljana. Checked that on my target date, May 12th, there is no bus running. Can anyone give me any advice of how to get from Rovinj to Ljubljana within the shortest period of time.

Hi. We arrive at Marco Polo airport at 1330. How do we go from Venice to Rovinj, by bus or train ? Is it possible this day? I know that there is a bus from Mestre at 14:00, but that will be a little difficult. Is there a train that correspond with bus in Trieste?
My husband and I would like to spend a week or so in Rovinj. Previously, we spent only a day there with a tour group, but would like to return for a more relaxed stay. We must travel by bus or train and have no idea how to do this. If you are willing to make some suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. Our beginning point would be Fulda, Germany.

Do you know if there are boat trips on the Limski Kanal at the beginnin of november?
I found this site (http://www.autotrans.hr/) thanks to this forum and it seems to indicate that there is regular bus service between Rovinj and Pula on 9 & 10 Sept. I am asking for confirmation, because while most of the site is in English I did notice a bit in Croatian. Can anyone who speaks the language confirm I am reading it correctly? I am hoping to get the 17:35 bus on the 9th and the 20:15 bus on the 10th. Should/can I buy my tickets now or should I wait until I am in Rovinj? All advice is appreciated. Thanks, Andy
Hello - am spending a week in Rovinj in the middle of May next year, Are there any ferries that run from Rovinj to Pula and Porec. Are there any private boats that go back and forward or is May too early. Is the bus maybe better. Have tried google but only Rovinj to Venice comes up. Thanks a lot if anyone can help or suggest a good web site
My wife and I are heading to Croatia and are planning our time between Split - Rovinj - Venice. We have roughly 5 days set aside for time in and around Rovinj, but have not booked or confirmed anything. My biggest questions are about how to maximize the time while there. We are avid travelers and like to move, as well as relax. Based on what I've read, it would seem like Rovinj could be a great base-camp where we stay in one hotel or apartment, and either use travel services or a rental car to do day trips. We like nature, as well as good food/wine, museums, history, etc. These are my big questions: Do we want to stay in one place - like Ravinj - for 4 or 5 nights, or do we want to move around? If there are 3-things we must see (or could see while in that area) what are they - I am getting all the basics from the internet and books, but I wonder about those little secret places, or gems in the area that are not to miss? Is it worth renting a car in Split and driving to Ravinj and keeping the car, or is it better to use guides and local services? Thanks for any input you can provide. Mike
What is the best way to find a room to rent, should I just talk to locals? I can't seem to find anything that I want on the internet.
How many hours to drive from Rovinj to Venice?
Hello If I would like to go to Rovinj from Rijeka is it possible by train or only by bus? I will be travelling with train from Denmark and it is possible for me to change at other stations if neccessary. If there is only busses - how much is the adult ticket from Rijeka to Rovinj and where can I see the schedule? Thanks in advance!
I am planning a trip in April 2010 and looking at bus timetables the 7.40am bus from Rovinj arrives in Trieste at 10.00am. I have a flight booked to Rome at 11.20am. Will I be able to get out to the airport in time for the flight or should I be looking at getting the earlier bus at 5.40am?
