I will be visiting Rotterdam that is I guess 1 hr drive from Amsterdam for 3 weeks for a buisness purpose(around 7 march to 29 march) I dont mind commuting all the way to Amsterdam and visiting all the nearby places. If anyone intrested in sharing the experience may be visiting some places together as for me visiting alone is littile boring as compared to having a company. Please mail me at anoopmnnit@gmail.com
That 1 hr may turn out longer dependent on the traffic. May I suggest you look for other attractions/cities than Amsterdam too? I'm think of Delft, Gouda, Utrecht, Breda. BTW Be aware parking in all these cities cost a lot of money; sometimmes it is more economical to take the train. PJ

Rotterdam-Amsterdam is just under an hour by train. I really advise against driving.
