Hey! I shall come with my girlfriend to Rotterdam for the big jazz event: http://www.northseajazz.nl/index.en.asp In the morning and during daytime we would like to make short trips to Utrecht, Delft etc Now here's our question - which area would you reccommend for the accommodation? The jazz festival seems to take place not in the centre... But train station seems to be in the centre... If you can name any (not expensive) hotel or B&B, we would be very thankful!
The Northsea Jazz Festival recommends hotels; see: northseajazz.nl/nsj49.en.htm... or else: weekendsaway.co.uk/zoeken/re... PJ

Cheers for the quick answer! But the thing is that I'm not having trouble in finding different hotels online. The problem is that I'd like to get some information on Rotterdam districts - which would be the best area to stay if we need to commute most often to and from the festival, train station and a hotel... That is the tricky part as we are absolutely not familiar with the city.

A hotel in the city centre of Rotterdam would be the best for you. Close to the trainstation and metrostation. The jazz festival at Ahoy is just 10 min. by metro.

http://www.northseajazzhotels.com/ Westinn Tulip Inn Golden Tulip Inntel Best Western Pax Hotel Eurohotel Stayokay Are all in the citycentre. And close to public transportation and easy to reach Ahoy. (The others are not). Also a very nice hotel in the city centre is Hotel Bazar bazarrotterdam.nl/opener.asp... Under the hotel is a very trendy restaurant also called Bazar.
