I will arrive in Livorno by cruise ship. I can recall the piazza in livorno from a previous visit - is it possible to catch a bus to the beach rather than trek to the railway station in Livorno. Any advice on the best beach to visit would be helpful. I will be there on a Sunday so I guess any bus services will be restricted. If ther is a local beach within a 3 - 4 km walk of the port that would also be an option
Thanks for any help
i live in livorno and go to the white sand beaches in Rosignano Solvay (Lillatro)
once you are in Piazza Grande (the square you remember near the port), go in the back of the square (back of the Cathedral). you will find the busses to "Cecina" or "Piombino" on the right side (having the church on your back).
Once you are on one of these blue busses, ask the driver to drop you off at "Lillatro" or " Spiagge Bianche". Everyone knows. The bus service is not restricted, don't worry
a bus every hour
if u need more help i am here, i am a bit lover of that beach
