Residenza Leonina

by lenyabloko Online Now May 24, 2012 at 8:29 PM

This hotel has no review on booking. But the description and price is good. Is this a trap? Does anyone know anything about this place?

It won't be a 'trap'. It may simply be that no-one has posted a review (it's not compulsory), that the hotel/whatever has only just been added to the booking site, that that a hotel has changed its name fairly recently or is simply very new. And the Resideza Leonina isn't really a hotel anyway. It's self-catering rooms, and people seem to write fewer reviews about those anyway (from my own observations). From looking at its info, I think it is possible the place is fairly new. It is certainly in a good central location.

Somebody wrote a review yesterday on tripadvisor saying they were the first customer of the business so it seem to be a brand new place. you can read it here tripadvisor.it/Hotel_Review-... Happy travel

It's in a really good location in the Piazza di Zingari on Monti. I had friends who lived there. A lovely quaint and quiet area but so close to Termini and the forum -

Residenza Leonina (formelly known Hotel Roma Termini) is there for hospitality since long time ago, it's brand new name, probably new property, but their sit it does not say it's been renewed

I have been researching hotels in Rome for a few days- and have decided on this one: Hotel Del Corso. Its near the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The rate is good too. Have a look. hotels.com/hotel/details.htm...

I have to make a retraction. before Residenza Leonina it seems there was nothing on business there since while, so it must be new. I found close to it Grazie a Dio è venerdì (Thank God It's Friday) resturant/pizzeria, they have a nice pizza, do not expect fried stuf like somewhere else, prices are not high for Monti neighborhood.
