I will be in the area for 2 weeks May 5-18, 2012. I'll be in Rome, Siena and Viareggio and I'm looking for any suggestions as far as things to do: concerts (rock to classical), restaurants, clubs .. anything you feel is a must see or must have experience. Thanks!

We went to Rome last year around the same time you are going. Hmmm, I didn't find any rock concerts. However, did find many operas performing in churches. The problem in Rome is they have one fairly large performing art center for concerts/plays. The rest is done in churches but there are quite a few of these performances. We bought our tickets on a whim and got fairly good seats. This was extremely enjoyable. On another day, fairly early in the morning we went to the Spanish Steps. At the top of the steps is a church. We went inside and heard the most beautiful acapella chant by a small choir of about 6-8 people. It was an amazing experience. Especially because there was no one else there to hear it.
