Rome to Venice

Hi! I'll be going on my dream vacation to Rome on 18.1.05 to 23.1.05.My only concern is how do i conveniently get to venice,by train (if there is) or flight?Which is cheaper? Bytheway,any cheap bb in city of rome? Thanks!!!

    I would take the train. It is pretty convenient and cheap.

    The train is also a great way to see some of the countryside! Make reservations! Even if you have a railpass, that guarantees getting on, but not a seat. We had some of our best times in Europe making a picnic from ingredients purchased at local markets and eating on the train. There were 4 of us (2 kids) and most people didn't want to come into our compartment to take one of the seats. When they did, we invited them to lunch!
