Anybody going to be in Rome in late June? I'll be there June 17 through the 23rd and wouldn't mind meeting up with someone for a drink or lunch or something. I've done most of the touristy things but am planning on checking out Tivoli...also maybe a day trip somewhere. I'm a 33-year-old American woman who speaks decent Italian, loves good food, and knows her way around.

I'm jealous! When you go to Tivoli, are you going to Hadrian's Villa? My wife and I were there in 1996 and ate lunch outside under the arbor at a country club-like restaurant near the entrance. It wasn't cheap, but it was very nice. BTW, dress "nicely"; tourists in shorts and T-shirts were not allowed in, but since my wife and I always wear dress shirts and slacks (cotton, of course, it was July), we had no problem. Actually, I'll be in the Netherlands and Germany at that time, but no trip to Italy this time. Maybe next time! Have a great trip! Bill

Hey Anna H, Great I am going to Italy from June 13 throught June 27th. I have never traveled to Europe and Italy was my first choice when I decided on a trip. I am looking so forward to seeing Italy I hear from many people it is a very beautiful country. I am a 36 year old American who speaks no Italian, loves good food, ( love trying new foods), and does not know his way around Italy. Though I am street smart. I grew up in Brooklyn N.Y. and I have been able to get around Bogota Colombia and Brasil on my own. Anna H if you want to meet up I would appreciate your expertise and I will buy the first round....I am a easy going and I am good shape as not to die out on walks.
