Yep that looks good except the post office currency
Opens at 8.30 which for me arriving at 6.20am not viable so guess i,ll have to seek out actual ATM

Well, I usually use ATM 'cause of the airport currency office usually provides not good rate (in any place of the world :-)). Although, yes, it is needed to have some cash to get the city :-) I don't know where you are from but maybe you may buy some Euro in your country? that to have taxi of bus to the city? :-)

I've got € 20 in notes & coins from last year
I'm 5 minute walk from Termini to my hostel so should have enuf for Terrevision bus (€4)

I travel backwards and forward to Italy on business and frequently withdraw cash from ATMs. From memory, the upper cash withdrawal limit is 250.00 Euros in ant one day.

The other posts in this thread reflect my own experience. I usually stop and pick up some euros when we arrive in the airport. It is easy pease.
