I am coming to stay with a friend on friday 17th Feb , for Carnival, will Saturday 18th or Sunday 19th be a fancy dress day for carnival?
The Carnival goes over the weekend (even through Wednesday). If the main event is not at Roermond, I know for sure a train trip will take you to other events. Processions from one town often ride on other days or nights in adjacent town and villages. Just go with the floe and dress funny (and warm; we still have a cold wave). PJ

The more outlandish your dress on either day will get you more attention and more sweeties/tat/gluhwijn/jenever...so just go with it and have fun..and stay warm!

you can wear anything during the carnival no matter what day, it starts at fridaybight and ends with "haringhappen"(eating raw hering) with lots of beers on wednesdaynight have fun!
