We are a party of 5 arriving at the Rochester Airport about 5 pm. What is the most cost-effective way to get to Buffalo the same evening?
greyhound (station located at the south end of Midtown Plaza) offers several scheduled runs to Buffalo from Rochester at25 per person. the trip takes 1 hour and 30 minutes. Hertz offers a comfortable ride in a Ford Taurus (fits five easily) for74 per day and you can pick it up and drop it off at the ROC airport. Add in another20 for gas. You probably want the rental car because then you can cruise around Buffalo with your own wheels rather than have to depend on walking or taxis in the city. 5 people times25 for bus is125. 5 people in one car is95.
