What is the return ferry fare and how frequent are the ferries? Thankyou!
ferrys are mostly just a few, but trains are running all day and daytickets for 5terre are available as well ! When I visited last time in march, the ship passed by Riomaggiore and landed only in Vernazza and Monterosso !

if you had not a lot of time, suerely train is faster then from boat but seeing 5 terre from the sea is much better here you get the timetable navigazionegolfodeipoeti.it/... btw it's a summer service only

And here's the train info: trenitalia.com/homepage_en.h... Nearest station to Portovenere is La Spezia (bus or taxi). Trains to Riomaggiore are frequent, taking ..ooo...8 minutes!
