Vegetarian Dinning in Puerto Rico

by ruthannewagner Online Now Oct 18, 2004 at 3:23 AM

I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian (the only animal products my diet includes are eggs and dairy products) and curious about what types of vegetarian cusine PR offers. Will it be hard to order a vegetarian dish in PR? As far as bean dishes go, are they prepared with pork, chicken broths, or other meats? Many thanks for any information you -- or dinning tips -- you may provide.

Hi!!!! Dont worry about your vegetarian style. All the restaurants in the island provides a vegetarian menu. You can ask your meal to be prepared strictly vegetarian (including the beans), and you should not have any problem with your dining here. Good luck and Buen Provecho!!!!
