hello, We wish to travel by train(s) from Rimini to Vieste in early october and as quickly as possible. We'd rather not go all the way to Foggia and wonder if San Severo would be an option even if we had to travel on by coach. Our plane gets in quite early on oct5th. Our return leaves around mid day on the 16th so we'll need a train back up to Rimini on the 15th. Having said that a coach from SS is an option, I know there is a train that runs to Peschici and that would do nicely too. Hoping you can advise, Roger and Rosie
ferroviedellostato.it/homepa... wil give you train times, details and (usually) fares in English. For some reason it is not giving me the fares for the Rimini>Peschici journey. Fastest journey is around 6h 14m, with a change at S Severo. Unfortunately, this is a night train. Earliest departure from Rimini is 14.36, arriving 21:52, with two changes including a bus service from Cagnano. If there is an onward bus option (I'll try to research it) then S Severo is a better option, taking about 4.5 hours and departures at 10:36 and 12:36. One-way fare is from 29.50 euro

I have found the bus link from Peschici to Vieste. There is one bus, leaving at 1600 and arriving at 1645. This is the Vieste>San Giovanni Rotondo bus. From S Severo there are two possibilities Bus departing 1300, change to another bus at Cagnano Varano departing 1455 and arriving at Vieste 16:45. Or train at 1336 to Cagnano Varano, then catching the same bus as above. Search for the timetables/info here: ferroviedelgargano.com/pagin...
