Slip to Bottom

Hi all, We're coming in to do some golfing (boys get away weekend). Is the distance between the Slip and the Bottom walkable/safe? Or should we plan on one Fri night and the other Sat night (or something like that)? Never been to Richmond before. Mapquest makes it seem walkable (less length than walking across the FQ in Nola, but having no idea what the neighborhoods are like, thought I'd ask. Thanks!

    Yes, it is walkable and you should be OK. Just don't go east of Shockoe Bottom. The neighborhood on that side is dicey.
