I am visiting Rhodes in May and need to get from Rhodes airport to Pefki, i am staying in the Pefki island resort so car rental versus public transport. We will rent a car but would prefer to rent when we get to the resort so any ideas on what is the best way to get there please. Deelicious
What time of day do you land??? If it's during the day, you're probably best off getting the bus into Rhodes Town and then getting a bus to Lindos and then taxi from there (not sure how many buses a day go through to Pefkos) If it's night time - get a car, now there's a good cross island road not far from the airport, it would be a not too stressful journey at night!

Hi, At Rhodes airport there is a sign telling you the prices of taxis most are fixed prices and they are not over expensive. As the other posting says driving from the airport you by pass Rhodes Town. The buses tend to get full during the day especially from lindos to Rhodes Town. Michael

Thank you for the reply i am not sure as to the time of landing have only booked the apt, the flights from my airport seem to be landing either at 12 mid day or the later ones are mid evening. There are other airports i can fly from but they are about the same as the above. Thanks for the help once again any info is greatly welcome deelicious

Thanks for the reply, still a little unsure maybe the best option would be to hire the car at Rhodes airport and do the drive sug, by the other poster but did not want to pay over the odds at the airport for car hire when you do get better deals after you arrive at the smaller hire companies any info on car hire etc, thanks agian any help is very much appreciated

I thin k I'd take a Taxi. I've no idea what it will cost, but they're pretty reasonable for other destinations (Rhodes Twon to Lindos is 25 euro, Pefki is beyond Lindos, but taking the route across country from the airport would make the distance similar). It's a better option than messing about on buses.

Yes, the best option would be either a taxi or rent car (with car you can get to see the whole island) By the way nice pic you have, it was in tenerife, playa de las americas, I used to own that place ;) www.officialantonio.com
