Hi,
how much shall taxi from the Railway Station to Sumadija Hotel (Sumadijski Trg) cost ?
I guess (basing on the map) that it is 4-5 km.
Is it easy to find a taxi at the Railway Station ?
Hello all
Is there a regular daily bus that travels between Kragujevac and Guca? Was thinking of staying in Kragujevac and just visiting the trumpet festival for 1 day from there, and getting an evening bus back then.
Is this feasible do you think?
Hvala!
DG
Hi,
I am looking to travel to Belgrade this winter (mid December thru January 3/4) and I was curious as to what I should do in terms of keeping myself warm in the cold... I'm a California girl, so I don't think my small simple jacket will work being that it will likely be in the negative temps.
Can someone give me some ideas?
Also, I will be staying exclusively in Belgrade I believe -being that I will not have a car, can anyone give me an idea of an area of the city to get my hotel in?
Hello all
I'm late booking for Guca in 3 months time and this place is listed as available during Guca festival 2013. There is not a single review for this property on the hostelworld website though. Does anyone have any experience of this place that they could please share?
Greetings to all
DG
Hi Everybody :)
Where can we change money in Belgrade on 1.05, banks won't be working, what about some currency exchange office at normal prices in the center?
And also will the tourist office work during the holidays?
I'm looking for a bus that goes from Podgorica to Prishtina in the morning.
And also I want to know how much do they usually costs.
Hi,
sorry for so many questions... :-/
I am planning also going from Belgrade to Pristina, in Kosovo, by bus. Do you know there might be any problem? I know that it's difficult sometimes to get Belgrade from Pristina, but I am not sure about the other way.
Many, many thanks again!
Hi, we're planing to visit Belgrade about 1-4 May. I know Serbia has official holidays in this period and I was wondering if we can park in zones I, II and III (for more than 1,2 and 3 hour respectively) without worrying that they might take our car?
So, what's the situation during the holidays?
Thank you!

Hi,
I am going with a friend of mine on 5th April in the afternoon from Budapest to Novi Sad and there are two places available in his car for ride share. We may stop in Szeged for someone to get in/out.
On 6th April we continue from Novi Sad to Belgrade, on 7th April from Belgrade to Skopje, Macedonia.
Let me know, if you would be interested: mizsi3@freemail.hu.
Cheers,
Istvan
Hi everyone!
We are a group of 12 traveling to Guca for the first time. We will go from Belgrade to Guca on Thursday the 8th and go back on sunday. I am wondering if there will be any problems finding tent space? We are fine with sleeping in tents, but are not sure if we have to pay for tent space? And how difficult is it finding space? Also, does anyone know if it is possible hiring a bigger taxi, or two taxis from belgrade to Guca and how much that would cost? Also, is there any bus going directly from Belgrade to Guca? A bus that might have air condition and wc?
Thank you in advance for answers and help and we will see you in wonderful Serbia this summer :)
/ G
Can anyone tell me the kick off times for the following games...
3rd April - Red Star v Hajduk Kula
6th April Smederevo v Red Star
6th April Partizan v Vojvodina
Various websites say the kick off is 11am, others say 4pm some say 7pm.
Please help as the kick off will hugely affect the bus times we can use.
Thanks
Was hoping to use Belgrade Greeters to get a tour of the hidden bars. So far I have not had a any reply from them. In the case that they don't come back to me, what are my options?
The Belgrade Pub Crawl - Anyone done it, what are the reviews, which bars etc?
Or, is it possible to do it alone (or would it be unlikely that a non Serbian could find the hidden gems?)
Thanks
I'm in the really early stage of seeing if I can pull off a summer trip, hubby wants to do a swim race in Istanbul in July (hot, hot, hot I imagine) but it's not confirmed yet. I wanted to see a little of Serbia and/or Bosnia since Serbia is one major omission from my travel map. I've found that we can fly between Istanbul and Belgrade for not too much but if we were to continue on to Sarajevo from Belgrade, is it best just to fly? I see that there were trains and buses that take a good chunk of the day but if it's a scenic ride or if there's an interesting stop between the two, maybe we would do that instead of flying. Any thoughts?
Does their city pass pay up? http://www.belgradepass.com/ Don't know what are their prices, I've heard Belgrade is cheap.
Is it possible to travel from Budapest to Novi Sad by boat? Either a scheduled service or by chartering a boat and crew?
Hello all Am I better off to try to find accomodation through the official Guca festival website or should I try to find somewhere private via Google? I would like to get my accomodation booked soon as I heard it is usually impossible after Feb/March. I'm planning to spend 3 nights there. If anyone can recommend a good place, that would be great. I heard the noise goes on until the early hours so I dont mind if its a little walk from all the action :) Thank you all! DG
Hallo all, Just to let you know that the Kosovo governmant, such it is, is implimenting new visa regime for the entrance in the breakaway province of Kosovo and Metohija. 87 countries are on their List of Visa requiraments among them are Russia, China, India to name few. The EU countries like Spain, Slovakia, Greece, Romania and Cyprus who did not recognise "Independent " Kosovo Republic entrance is still Free but Reports on the ground say that the border police rezrve the right to turn any national of the 5 States back and refuse entry. So to all of youwho are planing visiting Kosovo make sure you have all valid documenta including Visa if needed be. Happy & safe travels!
Dear All, we're a group of some 12-15 people, planning to travel to Belgrade and Guca for the trumpet festival in 2013. I've tried hard to search online, but some questions are still there, maybe someone can help us with that? - What would be the best way for a group to move from Belgrade to Guca and vice versa? Given the size of the group, and that, being photographers, we might have a bit more luggage than normal, the best way would probably be to hire a bus, can anyone have a tip on who to contact on that, some well priced and reliable service? - I found that there are few hotels or hotel-like places in Guca (private accommodation would hardly be an option, since it seems to me, we're too big of a group for any private house, and breaking the group into several sub-groups is not a good option) - Hotel Zlatna Truba, Hotel Lucani, Motel Curcic. However, there is very little information on them online. I would really need to know which one is the best of them (in terms of comfort, or the location, etc.), and what are the prices for the festival days? - Given that we would be in Guca just 3-4 days max, it would also be great to know, when is it best to come there? Right in the beginning of the festival, in the middle, or towards the end? When is the most interesting time to catch? Thanks in advance for your help! K.
Hi guys, I am planning a trip to Bosnia, Serbia and Montenegro this summer and wanted some advice on a possible itenary and any tips on transport, places to see and stay in the three countries. Basically I have about 7 days and want to see as much as possible. Novi Sad, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Mostar and Pristina are all on the list. Is this realistic? Cheers, Alex
Hi, Have sent several emails to the GEA company who offer minibus from Belgrade to Sarajevo. Heard nothing back. Trying to find out the departure times. Anyone know of other companies offering this trip? Really want a faster version than the bus or train. Thanks
Hello all I know it's a bit early to be asking, but i'm planning ahead as I don't want to miss this festival in 2013 :) Is there regular transport between Guca and Belgrade? No doubt there is extra transport laid on for the festival, but outside of that is there a regular bus service to the capital? I'm hoping to arrive in Guca, either from Bosna or from Montenegro. If someone could advise which would be best, that would be fantastic! Chances are, I will be starting out from Dubrovnik. So i'll definitely spend a night or 2 elsewhere before crossing into Serbia Thank you all! DG
I am possibly getting a job in Pristina in the next month or two and I am looking for any and all information!! First what areas should I look for an apartment? I am going to be a female living alone so safety is a concern but I would like to be walking distance to groceries, a gym, and mature night life (i.e NOT clubs but restaurants, wine bars and cultural venues)and if possible work (UN). Second what is the best way to get around town? I love biking but I hear traffic can be dangerous? Thirdly rent or buy a car? Fourth is there a place to take horse back riding lessons any where near Pristina? I am a fairly advanced rider (own horses and play polo in the US) Fifth I would like to find a gym with a pool and a track? Sixth a salon for nails and hair? Seventh should I bring or buy my bedding, winter wear etc and if buy there where is the best places to do so? Eighth is there any thing like Craigslist or place to buy or shop for used items, apts etc? I am sure I will have a million more questions and that this post may make me seem silly but I like to be prepared as possible when traveling. Thanks in advance for any insight from those of you who have or are there now
