Indeed you are right - I looked up and the prices are indeed almost to good to be true. Since you are physically not very far away - during an occasional visit in BG I would go there and inquire in person in the office. They have a physical street location and both 011 and mobile phone, so at least it smells at first as a legit business. Keep in mind one interesting thing: JAT may have secret arrangements with numerous companies regarding unpublished fares. We used these "grey market" or "unpublished fare" tickets while we did live in the States. These are usually (at least in the States) kind of "reserved" for immigrants and are not for wide access. Compare: on Virgin Atlantic a San Francisco-London-San Francisco is usually in the1500 range in the high season. Using the same airplane with "JAT" written on the ticket and getting London->BG->London on JAT for free costs about1000 -1100. In that spirit tourist offices with good connection to JAT may get very good prices on the airplane tickets, so the prices you see on explore.rs could be well legitimate. There are inter-agency agencies like http://www.yuta.rs/sr/default.asp or for few more links http://www.srbija.travel/korisne-info/linkovi/turizam You may ask there, just in case - do they have complains or not. I do not know, what terms your credit cards do have. In the case of non-performance and non-delivery usually most allow to dispute the charge. Do not confuse credit card with bank card/ATM "Visa" or "Master" - they have much more limitations. I would pay cash or with bank card only in exceptional cases, use REGULAR credit (not debit) card and again check their rules.

Regarding your post to O.P. - yep, if you recall than it was a silly American agency which booked people on an unsafe charter plane and they supposed to fly Chicago - BG. Before the plane took off - the Feds denied the charter airline to take off. Who paid cash was pretty much out of1100 or so. The prices of "explore" are really to low, spend a day or two to research in person and call off the trip by the slightest sign. After all, one always can buy these "grey" tickets and arrange all the rest alone. Depending on the destination can be even cheaper. Besides even if "explore" is fine - there is nothing anyone in Europe can do if their partner in, say, Central Africa is unreliable. I.e. the ZG->Istanbul->Addis Ababa flight could be fine, than you stay in Addis Ababa alone and scratching your head because no one is meeting you. With destinations like South America or Thailand there is more infrastructure we can rely on so it's not that shocking.

Pozdrav! Ta agencija se bavi avanturistickim putovanjima,znaci cene su takve jer se odseda po hostelima, satorima, i sl. Putuje se lokalnim vozovima, autobusima,... Ko ocekuje neki komfor, toga tu nema. Ali za mlade je super. Oni imaju i svoju stranicu na facebook-u, vredi pogledati, tu se verovatno mogu naci ljudi koji su sa njima putovali. Eji, pa baš zato su mi super :D, meni se ni ne da bit po nekim fancy plejsovima - ni inače ne brijem tak, baš bi išla u hostele, šatore i nature spike :). Ja licno ne znam nikog ko je putovao sa njima, a da mogu da odsustvujem sa posla mesec dana, sutra bih otisla! Nisam nikad ni cula ni procitala nista lose o toj agenciji, ja bi se usudila da idem sa njima. Inace jedna moja drugarica je putovala u Sri Lanku i Tajland sa agencijom Jungle Tribe, to je isti princip putovanja i bila je extra zadovoljna pa mozda vredi i to pogledati www.jungletribe.com Pozdrav!
