Hi, I am a single female travelling to Israel in May for a week. I am thinking of hiring a car in jerusalem and travelling to Ein gedi and then Neot Hakikar, Massada. Can anyone recommend good, cheap places to stay? Do you think it is safe to travel as a female like this? Are there any forms for people to hook up wiht other travellers on?

      Thanks

      Jerusalem to Petra

      Israel May 5, 2013 at 1:33 PM

      Hello,
i am going to Israel in a month and we would like to visit also Jordan - Petra, Wadi Rum. Can you please give any advice how to get there from Jerusalem? We prefer going by local bus or do you recommend any tours or travel agencies? Do we have to go throught Eilat or is it better to go to Amman and then to Petra? How much does it usually cost?
Thank you very much for any reply! V.

I have just recently moved to Rehovot. I am looking to rent an apartment here and have just viewed a nice place in Savyonei Amit. I have no car and wonder if it is safe to walk from here to the Weizmann Institute along the busy road? Cheers Rivka
