I'll come in Valparaiso, port , planning to spend few days in the area, I would really appreciate some advice on how to get from Valparaiso/ Vina del Mar to Algarrobo and if I can book the room in San Alfonso or somewhere close just for a night if there is a bus from Algarrobo to Santiago Is it safe to rent a car without Spanish speaker, any tip is welcome, hotel, transport,what to visit etc.. thank you
There are buses from Valparaiso to Algorrobo. They are very convenient if you do not have very much luggage. You cannot book rooms in San Alfonso as it is a condiminium - there are apartments for rent, but generally the owners look for long rentals. Algorrobo has small hotels and motels (cabinas). It is safe to rent a car. There are buses every hour or so from Algorrobo to Santiago.

when I said tricky I ment that you have to cross several streets with heavy trafic, move your suitecases over a trottoir... more
