As far as beach visting,, stick to Manuel Antonio. The distance between the two is very short. I own property between the two but closer to Quepos. Quepos is good for doing any business, visiting the grocery, hiting more local spots while Manuel Antonio is the spot for hanging on the beach. The national park is exceptional for visiting wildlife and gorgeous beaches. The beaches in Quepos are too dangerous to swim. People have drown there. It is nice if you want to plan dinner there and view the sunset because the areas sunsets have been known to produce green flashes.
