Hello all, I'm planning a 4-5 day trip to Quebec City and the national parks north of it. I've been thinking about dividing my time between: 1. Jacques-Cartier National Park 2. Saguenay National Park 3. Tadoussac (Whale watching) 4. Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie This is my map: http://goo.gl/maps/OoHh I'll be travelling with a 3 y/o and a 4 months old. My goals is to experience nature, some foliage and easy walks in the area. I'd appreciate your advice on the following: 1. Should I focus on one national park instead of hopping around? 2. Are all these parks suitable for such young kids? 3. Any changes/recommendations? Your help is greatly appreciated. Regards Dorian
Salut à tous! Is it okay to stay in Old Quebec area? is it near to attractions? Is it easy to wander around by bus? Any festival that will happen on May let's say on the 19th to 22nd?
Hi, Years ago there was a charming little farmhouse restaurant ont the banks of the St. Lawrence. When you crossed the bridge you took and left and a little down the road was a parking lot on the right. You put the flag up and someone from the restaurant came to get you. Does anyone know if it is still there. Thank you, Linda
How can one get from Gare du Palais to Boulevard Lebourgneuf by bus?

We were in Quebec earlier this summer & went to a shop on Rue de Baude where my friend found a hat & sweatshirt bearing the Hydro-Quebec logo with the beaver on the top & the torch on the bottom. I have been looking on line for these items & cannot find them. Does anyone know where I might find them?? Thanks
Hi, Im planning to go to Quebec. Is there any local cuisine that I need to try there. I've read they have cloudberry pie. Is there anything else? Btw, I dont eat meat. Thanks.
Given that the US$ is no longer favorable to the Canadian I am curious as to how local establishments are handling the US$. Are they discounting it or treating it on par with the Can$?
I know there is a free Cirque de Soleil show at Quebec City in the summer. Has anybody seen this in the current or past years? I'm wondering how early we actually need to get there to secure a spot. Thanks!
Hi there I am from Australia travelling to Rue de la Couronne Quebec, Canada. I was wondering if anyone can help me find a cell phone store, i would like to buy a pre-paid phone when i arrive. Regards, Wade
I was hoping to get some help in recalling the name of the store that has an excellent selection of Laguiole knives. The store is located in the old city, along the main shopping/restaurant strip. I am desperately trying to find their contact information, or, even better, a website. Many thanks!

Can anyone recommend place to stay within the Old City?
Do I need to rent a car during the carnival? We're also hoping to visit the Ice Hotel. If we don't need a car, is there a convenient location in quebec city where we should stay? (Haven't visited Quebec yet so I'm unfamiliar with the city's layout). We're arriving at YQB (Quebec's airport). Thanks much in advance!
We are staying at the Chateau Frontenac for NYE, there are 5 of us, including two 50 year olds and three 25 year olds. Any ideas where to go? Any restaurants offering entertainment close by. The hotel has 2 parties but neither appeal to us.
How many days on the average is the temperature below freezing in Quebec during the winter months?
I am travelling through Quebec, once again, to visit my daughter in Ontario. This time, however, I want to actually "see" Quebec. I have a couple of days and I want to travel along the St Lawerence River, go to St Annes, and see the waterfall that is near Quebec City. I have directions to St Anne's, but am not sure about the water falls. Can you give me clear directions? And can you tell me what else I should or could see along this route that would be of interest at this time of year. I want rest and relaxation, I want to be off the road before nightfall. I want to see the real Quebec. Tall order, I know, in a couple of days... but keep in mind, in a few days I will be going home and want to take a few days to that also. All the help I can get will be greatly appreciated. Beverley
Does anyone know of an inexpensive but quiet and nice place to stay in Levis, Quebec, across the river from Quebec City?
Friends of mine will be traveling in October from Montreal to Quebec City, then want to continue to Boston, possibly in a single day. Air travel is quite costly, overland travel might offer colorful scenery at this time of the year. Is there any direct bus or train service between QC and Boston or will another passage through Montreal be necessary?
So I really want to go stay in Quebec Ville for a few months, and the only time it seems possible is from November to, say, March. I've seen the weather tables and understand it'll be colder than I'm used to, but is it usually dark and grey cold, or clear and blue cold? I'd love to get back into winter sports, but after Cape Cod last year, the thought of another dark and grey winter makes me very sad. Thanks for your input!
Has anyone taken the train trip from Toronto to Quebec? Was it enjoyable? Was the experience worth the whole day of travel as opposed to flying? We only intend to spend a couple of days in Old Quebec before flying to Halifax.
