We will depart on a saturday in July at about 17.00 in Kiel and have to be in Copenhagen next day at 15.30 to reach the ferry to Oslo. There are two possibilities: by ferry from Puttgarden or the longer way over the Great Belt Bridge. We prefer the ferry but heard about heavy traffic before Puttgarden. When is the best time to go by ferry, saturday evening or late sunday morning? As we travel by camper van it doesn’t mind where we spend the night.
We are going from Rödby (sorry, there´s no right kind of ö in Finnish keyboard) to Puttgarden. We are coming from Norrköping in Sweden at that day,and might be a good idea to stay over night somewhere there. Is Puttgarden a nice town?Or is there something nicer close to it?Our next stop will be Hann, but it might be too much driving for one day. Or maybe we should stay at Denmark-side? One opinion is to stay at Köpenhagen, even if we were thinking of doing it on our way back home.So I´m now thinking of other possibilities.
I read abt. the train terminal built in 1961 - would like some information as to HOW the train gets across the water between Germany and Denmark. Thanks, Leonore
