I am thinking about a trip to India in November and this would include a visit to the Festival in Pushkar. Accomodation is in a tent. Has anybody been here during the Festival? Is it really worth the visit? Who can tell me more about those camps with tents?
We went a few years ago, and enjoyed it a lot. "Typical" India, not easliy seen elsewhere. The tent was organised by one of the big hotel chains, and was quite luxurious.

Hi marjanh, if you like to see real India with that rustic appeal. It is really worth the visit!!Its very different from other places in its approach, you get to see villagers exchanging their cattle and oraganising bull race and those sort of oldage sports. You might be surprised to see night parties and sort of that kind to entertain people like us.I was there two years back and going again for the pushkar fair around 21st Nov.what would be your dates? Regards Syed
