Are there branches of US banks that are licensed to operate in Punta del Este so that I can cash checks and make deposits when I am there? Thank you. Peter

    Hi. There´s a branch of BankBoston (The First National Bank of Boston) and Citibank, but I don´t knlw if you can make those transactions there. Perhaps you can contact them. Try at www.bankboston.com.uy or www.citibank.com.uy (both in spanish). Good luck, Rafael
