Hi I am flying into Punta Arenas November 5th. I want to see penguins one day that I am there. Wondering if I should go to Seno Otway or to Magdelena?? Is this a good time of year to see them? Sun UV radiation strong this time of year??? Is sun block expensive to buy in Chile (It was outrageous price when I went to Thailand - around20 per bottle) SHould I pack enough for a month with me? Thanks John
dunno about sunscreen, didn't need it...pretty cloudy last week in punta arenas. didn¿t see any penguins either, as penguin logic would have it, they're all in antarctica in the winter...every now and then you might see one or two swimming around, but i think those were the ones that were too hungover to leave that morning when the rest took off. from what the people in punta arenas and puerto natales told me, they seem to be everywhere in the summer.
