Hi all, still putting the finishing touches to our 2012 holidays in March. We are considering visiting the islands around Sipidan and staying on one of them for a couple of nights. We want to experience pristine white sand beaches, good snorkelling (no diving lthough we understand this area to be the finest in the worl, and good dining at the chosen resort. The Islands we are looking at are Mabul,,,Mataking,,,,,Kapalai,,,,and Pom Pom, Any comments on these islands or other suggestions will be greatly appreciated. We will be staying at Tawau for a couple of nights before going to the Islands Many thanks for your help POEPAT
I have done some study on Sipadan since I will be going there in Oct. I found out that it will be much better to stay at Semporna instead of Tawau. There are two nice hotels there, Dragon Inn and Sipadan Inn. The rates are reasonable and the rooms are ok

HI- We are a family of 4 and are thinking of similar - have you got any further with your queries? I think the Mabul Beach Resort sounds interesting and seems a better price, although the snorkelling is still very expensive from a boat, and it sounds like the snorkelling from the beach is not so interesting..INterested in your thoughts. From what I have read, I am not thinking of staying in the towns at all. :-)
