Hi all, I am going to langkawi in mid july with my husband to celebrate my birthday . Please kindly suggest any good activities in langkawi. we will stay for 3D2N only. My plan is roughly estimate as follows: first day arrival in langkawi airport at around 2pm , car rental in the airport. drive to the hotel swimming in hotel and then celebrate in room with a free cake given by the hotel then go out for dinner and drive around (please suggest where we can go to have a nice and good meal with reasonable price, where we can drive around ? where will have big supermarket or duty free shop for soveniors ?) second day due to my husband not really enjoy the watersport so ignore the snorkeling activity go to hunt for breakfast area/ take in hotel (please suggest any good area and cheap for breakfast), may be walk around the resort as we stay in holiday villa go to oriental village, kuah, eagle square, drive up to Gunung Raya( please suggest the sequence on the above area), any night market we can walk around? third day breakfast in hotel and relax in hotel and then leave hotel head to airport back to penang in the afternoon Is this a good plan in langkawi trip? If not , please suggest another betterplan for us. Moreover, we will spend one day in penang before leaving malaysia and back to Hong Kong. Anyone can suggest me where will have good food and good area to go around in Penang as we will arrive penang in the afternoon time? Thx

Hi there, There are a lot of sight-seeing places in the island. You can go for Langakawi Geo-Park, Kayaking at Klim river, take a good meal at Hole in the Wall Floating Restaurant, Langkawi Cable Car, Temurun Waterfall, Eagle Square in Kuah Town. Cenang beach has a lot of souvenir shop and restaurant. Historical places like Mahsuri Tomb and Burnt Rice of Langkawi. Most of the duty free shop is at Kuah Town. Hi, On the first night, I suggest you to drive to Pantai Cenang or maybe your hotel is in Pantai Cenang. There are a lot of nice restaurants from Chinese food to Mexican food...cheap to very expensive all sort, supermarket, bars and the beach is there. Note: I recommend you to book a half day Island Hopping trip for tomorrow. It does not require any swimming, but it will take you to see beautiful scenery beaches and eagles. Check out my Langkawi's tip for the address in Pantai Cenang. RM25 per person, 4 hours. On second day, half-day Island hopping trip. Then, visit oriental village to check out the Cable car, see whether they are operating. Sometimes they are closed for whatsoever reasons. Bad. Or drive to Gunung Raya to visit the Peak at D'Cononut Hill Resort, very nice views than can have high tea there. If you still have time, visit the Tanjung Rhu beach. It would be perfect to catch the sunset, if it is already dark, skip it. On third day, if you want to see more before going to the Airport, drive to The Datai Langkawi to see the beautiful forest resort, or drive around Langkawi downtown together visit Westin Langkawi, my tip for more. My favorite: The Datai. Enjoy your birthday trip!! Happy Birthday!!

Holiday Villa is situated at Pantai Tengah. You have to pass by Pantai Cenang to the hotel, so you will see a lot of happening at night in Pantai Cenang. A full tank of petrol is enough for 3 days if you decided to round the whole island.

We rented a car at the airport, a small Malaysian made car " Kancil" RM80 for 1 and half days. Your situation for your entire trip should consider 2 days, you can bargain for RM100 for two days. MyVi /Nissan will cost you around RM 160 for two days. It depends how much you drive...you can estimate around RM15-RM20 per day. More in my Langkawi tip

The road is safe as long as he doesn't drive too fast.
