Hi all I am planning to go at the end of March. Which one has better beaches and cleaner water- Redang or Lang Tengah? Please advise. Thanks!
I prefer Lang Tengah as the waters are clearer, cleaner and beaches are quieter. You can usually get the whole beach to yourself. It's less commercialised as well and the hotels here are more intimate.

Lang Tengah is the quieter island with far fewer people around. If you are serious about having beach fun and want peace and quiet, this is the island to simple lie out and do nothing. Redang is commercialised and has quite a few 4-star resorts and budget accoms. Hence lots and lots of people around. The beaches are still nice (for the moment I think) but the degree of reckless environmental consideration, means it won't be for long.

yes,.. i agree with restless-in-kl. I will be there in Lang Tengah for a 4 days 3 night trip. Havent been there since 2004. When i went to Redang last year, too commercial for me.
