Greetings all, Just doing a bit of research on accomodation on the island. Would appreaciate any feedback about the accomodation listed below. (a)Pros and cons about the accomodation - clean / friendly ppl / etc... (b)Facility available (c)Food 1 - Blue Coral Island Resort 2 - Square Point Resort 3 - D'Coconut Lagoon 4 - Redang Lang Resort TQ.
Hi there my friend! I went to Lang Tengah last May and stayed at Blue Coral. It has a pool and comfortable cottages with porches in front. I was diving (as you probably guessed), so I chose Blue Coral for its well-established dive center. The staff there were attentive and helpful. The most surprising aspect of my stay was seeing turtles hatching. Blue Coral dive center staff buy turtle eggs from locals and rebury them in front of the dive center. I just happened to be there the night they hatched.

As you already know, there only 4 resorts in Lang Tengah. Blue Coral (3* resort) ~ One of the older resort (about 7 years old) ~ Accommodation clean & good if u take their Deluxe Seaview Room ~ Their Standard Room are behind the resort next to the staff quarters ~ friendly staff ??....depends wheather u go during off-peak or peak period. ~ They have the longest shoreline in Lang Tengah. ~ Mainly for foreign market ~ Swimming Pool D'Coconut Lagoon (3* resort) ~ New kid on the block (1.5 years old) ~ All the rooms still clean & all the beds are new. ~ friendly staff...again depends ~ Food is above average ~ Short shoreline but have isolated bays ~ Mixture of foreign & local market ~ Swimming pool with bar Square Point (2* resort) ~ Mainly do a lot of groups ~ Rates is cheaper ~ Accommodation not as comfortable as D'Coconut and Blue Coral ~ No swimming pool ~ Food - Basic (mixed rice food) Redang Lang (2* resort) ~ Mainly do a lot of groups ~ Rates is cheaper ~ Accommodation not as comfortable as D'Coconut and Blue Coral ~ No Swimming pool ~ Food - Basic (some problem with the food previously) If you going for nice, quiet, relaxing holiday, try either Blue Coral or D'Coconut. If cheaper price is your priority then go for Square Point or Redang Lang.

Mei Leng, I did stop by D'Coconut but didn't look at the guest rooms. I was told they were planning to build a budget wing out back (hostel-style with bunk beds) for patrons who didn't want "fancy" rooms. The whole place was empty, and it was hard even to find staff to talk to about rates or to get information at the dive center, but then it had only been open a few months, so I hope this will have changed. They guy at the dive center was unhelpful and unfriendly, so I felt good about having chosen Blue Coral.

Hello everyone! I just came back from LT and I stayed at the Redang Lang. That place is more of a divers' lodge and apparently the cheapest joint in the island. Since I care more about diving than creature comforts, I rate this place quite highly in terms of its dive facilities. All dive equipment here are almost new and they're branded ( Oceanic ) . On top of that, our dive master was really nice, so was the resort owner ( a diver himself ) and the dive instructor . I'll return to this place to dive again. Room wise, it was quite basic was comfy enough for me. Surf over my pages to take a look, I took lots of shots. Cheers bpacker

Hi, I'm planning to make a trip to Lang Tengah in August. I am choosing between Blue Coral and D'Coconut. Are the rooms (Deluxe) in Blue Coral very old and not well maintained? How about the pool? Any comments on D'Coconut? TQ!

Hi there, I didn't get to go to LT last May 05 cuz i was too busy with work. Moreover me partner wanted to go to Bali instead. I will definately go in late March or eary April. Thanks for the above review. I was in Pangkor Island on the west coast last week from 1/1/06-1/3/06. All i can say is east coast Malaysia beaches rocks compared to west coast.
