Will be arriving Rome Intl Airport in May 2013. What terminal do I need to get to for train travel to Bari. Sites that I have been to indicate I need to get from airport to Roma Termini. Is Roma Termini where I get the Eurorail to Bari?
Looking for insights on travel to the Garagano Penninsula and Tremiti Islands in the Italian province of Foggia. Considering a one-night stay in Monte Sant Angelo and possibly another on one of the Tremiti Islands. Aside from the usual recommendations for sights, are there any specific recommendations for things to see that are out of the way? Maybe a special hike through the forrest? Ocean caves? Little known ruins? I will have a car. Mille Grazie.
Does anyone know please, if there is reliable luggage storage at Bari Centrale station. We may have a couple of hours beteen trains there in June, and want to walk around a little bit. Thank you!
I want to go mid January 2013 from Bari to Lecce (same day excursion) but can find fast train (frecceargento) only in the afternoon while going from Lecce to Bari onlyin the morning. I found out thats because this is the Lecce-Rome connections. While frecce takes 1:20hours, the regional lines take 3:50 hours. Is there a faster way ? maybe by bus ?

I am traveling from Otranto to Gallipoli. The train schedule shows just a few minutes at the station before it shows a different train number. Do you have to change trains in Maglie and Zollino? It doesn't seem like 2 or 3 minutes is enough to get off and get on another train with luggage. Do the train stations of Ferrovie del Sud Est normally have bars and bathrooms like Trenitalia? I will be going also from Gallipoli to Taranto and have quite a wait in Novoli and Martina Franca. Thank you for your response
Hi, I am going to Noci in December. I get to know that the only train (maybe?)to Noci from Bari is by "Ferrovie Sud est" (FES). On their website: http://www.fseonline.it/ they say the train station in Bari for Noci is "Bari Centro" but without further indication of the address. I wonder whether "Bari centro" is "Bari centrale" which is the main train station in Bari or other train station nearby? Thank you very much for the help. Best, Isabel
I want to get to Celenza Valfortore (my mother's family is from there). I know there are buses from Foggia, but it looks like they would allow me only 4 hours. How hard is the drive from Foggia to Celenza? I already have my international driver's license. Is there any other alternative? I'm traveling with my sister. I was in Celenza in 1959, but would like to take her.
We are traveling from Naples to Monopoli. We have train reservations that get us to Bari. How do we get from Bari to Monopoli and our hotel Cala Corvino Club II:
We are an active senior couple from the USA who will be visiting in Bari on September 14. We would enjoy meeting an English-speaking resident or couple who would like to show us around your city/town and hopefully create a friendship. Learning about your culture and way of life is of interest to us. And this is a good way to create peace in the world. If interested and free that day, please post a reply. No professional tour-guides, please. Bob & Fran
Hi, I am traveling from Bari airport to Vieste on the 25th of August 2012. The direct shuffle bus is once per 5 hours (so it leaves you with 4 hr airport hang out and very late arrival). Is anyone else traveling to Vieste that evening that would like to share the taxi fair? Thanks Olka
Hello everyone. My friend and I are traveling from the US to Brindisi in September. We need to get to Monopoli to the place we are staying. We plan to take the bus to the train station in Brindisi. We then plan to take the train to Monopoli. Can we purchase the train tickets once we arrive at the station? We arrive at 10:30AM. We did not know if we should purchase the online, and worried if we did we may miss our train if the flight had delays. What should we do?
Hi! Does anybody know how much is the rent for a one-bedroom flat or a studio in Foggia or San Severo? I am interested in a place for students, nothing fancy.
Hi! I'm arriving at Bari airport on the 28th august at 20:45 and I need to catch a train to Foggia the next morning. Can anyone please tell me if I may stay in the airport for the night?
Hi there, I'm going to arrive in Bari this week, and need to get to Nardo. I'm having trouble finding public transport information. I want to do bus and/or train. But also taxi for short trips. If anyone is able to help me, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much. Joanne.

Hi I am looking to spend a week in Puglia end of September with my boyfriend. We intend hiring a car and would like to travel around. We will fly to Brindisi. I am trying to work out where to be based or if it would be better to split the time between two locations. We would like to stay in an area that has a bit of life in the evenings with lots of good traditional restaurants to dine out at. In the day time we would drive to various sites and beaches. Please can you recommend best location that time of year and accommodation. We like to stay in 4/5* locations with nice views. Ideally a location near to a nice sandy beach but also a quaint little town with good choice for eating out. Thanks Bmmos
Hi all, I will be visiting Puglia for 5 days with my mum at the beginning of September, flying into Bari. I am starting to research the trip so would love to hear any suggestions for things to do / places to see during this short break. We are currently interested in seeing some of the historic sites such as the Trulli in Alberobello, but also in enjoying the surrounding scenery including the beaches. We are looking for a relaxing break, rather than trying to squeeze everything in in one go! And we will be mostly travelling by public transport. Can anyone suggest an interesting itinerary? Thanks in advance and I will be sure to check through previous forum posts too!
I am coming to Bari on 12th July via cruise ship. I have been looking to hire a car for the day but I cannot find any information on where the nearest car hire depot is to the cruise terminal. Does anyone know this information? If so please share. I am looking at either visiting Trani or going to see the Trulli houses, which is the best option? Thanks Neil

Hello to everyone, What is the fastest way to get from Brindisi to Sorrento? AWe do not want to drive. And any tips on hotels in Sorrento, and tours to Capri and Positano? Thank you.
Since no one but Ingrid answered the parking question, I'm guessing there aren't many Trani-ites out there, but here's another question (maybe Ingrid will know :-) TraniWeb (www.traniweb.it), which seems to be THE site for information, says the cathedral does NOT close for lunch (operta 9-20). I'd love to believe this, but I can't help being a bit skeptical, especially off-season (I'm going in a few weeks). Thanks to anyone with personal knowledge to share. -Spencer
