Question title

by retiredcouple Online Now Mar 26, 2013 at 10:46 AM

I am looking for some hotels for next winter in Puerto and consider Sol Puerto Playa. It has a very good price with breakfast included. But it sais that there is no fridge in the room to keep cold water or drinks in. Is that really so, or a misunderstanding.
Anyone who has been there and what do you have to tell us about that hotel?

its a very tourist area so I am sure they will accommodate you; why not ask the hotel directly for the fridge, and ask for one small one if they dont have it in the room.
    hope it helps your planning

According to the room descriptions, there are no fridges in any of the rooms. Also if you have not booked this hotel yet, you may want to read past reviews of guests at tripadvisor.com you may decide to look elsewhere.

Most Spanish and European hotels don't have fridges but sometimes you can get one on request.

Yes, I have been reading in Tripadvisor, but there are almost no hotel where you cannot read both positiv and negativ opinions and sometimes they might not be objective. I decided to ask here before writing the hotel. I thought maybe somone had been staying there. I am looking at some other budget hotels as well, for ex Apartamentos Alta, Palmeras Playa and Catalonia Las Vegas. Maybe someone has some experience from them.

My grandparents are from there and I visit family so no experience staying hotels etc there, these are modest places but nice , for the fridge you need to ask them. For the place never stayed in those.
    cheers

Finally we decided on Alta. Central and good space for staying a month. Kitchen with fridge, stove and oven. So some days we may do our own cocking. There is a good food store in the mall opposite the street. We will tell you about it when being there.
