To VTers in Puerto Viejo: Does anyone need a temporary roommate in the Puerto Viejo/ Cahuita area? I am looking for a single room in a quiet 420-friendly place. Will be there two or three months, then return to Vermont in the spring. A reasonable guest house is also a possibility. Jungle and beach, hammock, quiet, a place to prepare simple meals, a room of my own. This is what I am looking for. Thanks for any offers or suggestions.

You could try vrbo.com for a house to rent, or even couchsurfing.org. Probably couchsurfing would be a better fit.

Dustmon and Mat420: thanks to both of you for your helpful replies. I am a couchsurfer and will check it out. Nothing in Air B&B for PV but will keep checking. I also check the Tico Times but nothing yet.

If you go to airbnb.com and change the "sort by" to distance, 2 apartments show up, 1 for 30 and 1 for 100---big difference! You're on your own for your 420---good luck!

Yes, Dustmon, I did find the apartments! I forgot I had added them to my wish list. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/450565 seems too good to be true and no one has commented and they don't seem to be booked at all, which is odd. Do you know anything about these cheap apts? I mean, good or bad? If it seems too good to be true it usually isn't true. I guess I will just go down to rockin J's and stay there while I look around for myself . Thanks again for your help. theresa

We stayed on the coast in Malpais so dont have direct knowledge of the apts----
