Hi, I am planning my very first solo trip this December and I would like to go to Costa Rica. Dose anyone have suggestions for what part of CR I should visit. Puerto Viejo looks cool, but I am not sure. I am interested in surfing but I would need to take lessons because I am not an experienced surfer. What are some of the fun must do things in CR? Thanks, Siobhan

WE really like the Caribbean coast . Puerto Viejo is nice and they have surf lessons you can take there. We liked Cahuita on the Caribbean coast as well. Its easy to go to both .If you have the time you should try to get to the cloud forest of Monte Verde , its amazing!
