Can anyone give some info about fly fishing in the Puerto Varas area. Is it possible to do it without a guide? Perhaps just rent a car and drive to the rivers? Or can someone recommend an inexpensive fishing guide. We really only need to be taken to the fishing location and picked up at the end of the day.. Thanks!
inexpensive fishing guides do not really exist in chile as far as i know. i would be happy to recommend a local driver (spanish speaking) who can take you to fishing locations. i don't know whether you need a permit but can find out.
