We just returned from Puerto Vallarta on Monday. Eight glorious days at the Barcelo Resort in La Hola De Mismiloya at the south end of Banderos Bay. We walked the dirt path below the location of the moive set of "Night of the Iguana". All the buildings are rundown and not much to see, except a chain link fence and razor wire at the top with warning signs of "No trespassing" everywhere with armed guards and dogs patrolling the property. Does anyone know why this old location is so heavily protected? We talked to locals and other tourist and never got a good answer. Who knows the straight scoop?
