Does anyone know if Puerto Penasco is a digital or analog cell phone location?
Digital ... if you have a GSM phone you can use the same number you already have in the US.

I was just there and I have no clue.. it seemed that all the tourists couldn't use there cell phnoes, however the locals were talking it up... don't know though

When you come into town on Benito Juarez you can have your cell programmed for Mexico at any Telcel office or Movistar. Pick up a Rocky Point Times and it will tell you how to DIAL OUT OF MEXICO - most Americans try to dial like they do to Mexico..you need to dial 001-area code in the states - and number... Not 011-52-area code - number when you call to Mexico!! Be careful with roaming calls!! expensive!! You can always get an old cell phone and buy a CARD in Penasco and have them program it for you right at the store for about 200 pesos (20 bucks)
