my wife has the best taste in everything!!!!!! and has found the Rosewood Mayakoba......My wallet isn't laughing..... are there any equivalent hotels for less or is this really going to hurt:(
We will be going next November as her brother is getting married, we are a child less couple so do not want to stay at a hotel that is over run with children hence we are not staying at the same hotel as her brother.
I have noticed that the majority of rooms in our price range at the Rosewood over look the lagoon, so is there a
chance of mosquito problem as we do not want the holiday spoilt by bites as they really go for me
I am planning to have an 30 years anniversary vacation with my wife in Cancun this September/2013. I've been reading all the review from all experienced travelers and most of them are involved with timeshare sale scam. Not only get into the scam and ruin the whole vacation for most of them which I feel very sad when reading it. After refused or withdraw from the scam deals, they were treated like a second citizens or bottom line tourist. We never get out of US since we married and love the beaches a lot. I've heard it's beautiful beaches and resorts in Cancun and wanted to have a great vacation with my love. But it's seem like unsafe with all the situation that I've seen from all the review. It's happened in most of the resorts there. Any advises is appreciated. I am thinking to travel with US might be safer? Thank you for any input.
We will be at a resort at Xpu Ha beach and would like to go to the Jungle spa. We are not too adventurous and a bit physically limited (so treking all over like we did in our 20s is not an option). How difficult is it to take the colectivo up there? Or, is it better to take a taxi? How expensive would a taxi be to/from? What else do you suggest we do for the one-day trip up to Puerto Morelos? Any suggestions or assistance would be great
Hi i am arriving near PM on the 7th and doing an all inclusive thing for a week for a wedding then hoping to stay in the area for a few months if i like it. does anyone know any sites in english where i could rent a small room or aparmtment at a reasonalble rate.

I read Catrionna's review of Casita del Mar, but it was written in 2004. Can anyone give me an update on this hotel? Is it still clean and comfortable, air-conditioned and affordable? Thanks! Lorena
Greetings everyone, I've found reading the VT forum so helpful in narrowing down our vacation choices, though this is my first post here. I'm wondering whether anyone has stayed in condos just north of Puerto M., and if so, whether the beach is swimmable there. I ask because I found someplace called La Petite France that says it's in the national park. Prices for our dates (July 12-July 24) seem very reasonable for how cute the place looks, but I don't know if I want to stay someplace that we can't swim at. Any information will be helpful. I'm just getting started with the planning, and after *much* research and hemming and hawing, Pto. Morelos is now in first place. Thanks! --Jennifer
