We will be at a resort at Xpu Ha beach and would like to go to the Jungle spa. We are not too adventurous and a bit physically limited (so treking all over like we did in our 20s is not an option). How difficult is it to take the colectivo up there? Or, is it better to take a taxi? How expensive would a taxi be to/from? What else do you suggest we do for the one-day trip up to Puerto Morelos? Any suggestions or assistance would be great
You will have to take two colectivos one from Xpu - Ha to Playa del carmen an another to Puerto Morelos it will cost you about 20 pesos/pax each colectivo and you can take the colectivo to Puerto Morelos in the same place where the colectivo from Xpu ha drops you, as a reference you can take the colectivo from Xpu Ha at Federal High way you should ask recepcionist for more information. arriving to Puerto Morelos you can take a taxi to Jungle spa for 30 pesos. a taxi would cost more than 500 pesos so count how many you are and see what is the best for your pocket a Taxi would arrive at least 20 min faster than colectivo.
