We are confused about where to rent in Puerto prior to our son's wedding late February or early March. Will be trying to host a few family members and friends a week before wedding. Any suggestions out there? Betsy

I'm thinking of flying into Huatulco (cheaper and less stops) then driving to P. E. Is it safe? How far is is? How about buses? I have been to Huatulco and love it, but want to go to a small beach town

We're going to PE for Christmas with another family and all of our kids, ages 10 to 13. Has anyone done something like this? We're trying to book a good place to stay for a week. House? Apartment? Condo? Hotel? Not sure what the best option will be but we're looking for a good place and realized we'd better hurry because places are booking up fast! Thanks for any advice. Eve

If I fly into PE, how hard, long, expensive, etc. is it to get to Puerto Angel? Is it hard to rent cheap places by the month in either place? I'm more into diving than surfing. Is there a "best place" for that along this coast?

Hey all, Myself and 5 other mates are heading down to puerto escondido for the month of april and want to rent a house for a reasonable price so that we can all stay together. We want to go surfing at Zicatela Beach, and thus would like to stay an easy 5 min walk from the beach.. is there anywhere that would fit what im looking for, we are flexable and could stay somewhere that we were lodging.. well anywhere.. basicly after info on stayin in puerto escondido. Can anyone describe what the rooms look like at Arco Iris? I can't find any pics anywhere. I hear the hotel is great and food is fine, but just wondering about the room and kitchenette. Bright, clean, spacious, comfortable beds.....I know, I know, it's Mexico!!! But any info will be appreciated. Going there in Feb/Mar so am excited! Deb

I'm heading to Puerto Escondido in August 2004 and was wondering if someone could recommend a good hostel or budget type accomodation to stay at. I've heard great things about 'Surf Hostel Zicatela' but haven't been able to make any online reservations, if anyone knows the contact number so I could enquire and book over the phone I'd appreciate it. HEY!! My Buddies and I are moving to Puerto Econdido por la playa Carizalillo. Of course, were going to surf, the crazy thing is that none of us have surfed before. So my question is Should we buy the boards up here in Utah or should we buy them down there and what type of board do you surfers suggest? Thanks.
