We're going to PE for Christmas with another family and all of our kids, ages 10 to 13. Has anyone done something like this? We're trying to book a good place to stay for a week. House? Apartment? Condo? Hotel? Not sure what the best option will be but we're looking for a good place and realized we'd better hurry because places are booking up fast! Thanks for any advice. Eve
We once stayed at Hotel Santa Fé in Puerto Escondido and absolutely loved it. It is located right on a fabulous beach, at a little distance from the city centre, and generously designed, kind of mediterranean style, with a patio, pools, and the rooms built around this area, curved staircases lead to the rooms, has a very relaxed holiday feeling. Just not one of those big hotel bunkers, as I call the highrise blocks which you see in Acapulco. If kids are tired of playing in the pool area they can run forever on the endless beach or play ball games, they also offered horseback-riding on the beach. http://www.hotelsantafe.com.mx/

i was there a week ago and there were lot´s of places to stay. the financial crisis has hit mexico too so they go less... more
