      cheap transpotation to london

      Paris Apr 30, 2013 at 10:17 AM

Does anyone know a cheap way to get from Paris to London? It seems that there are plenty of reasonable deals going the other way, London to Paris. I need to travel May 8th.
I do have luggage so the cheap business flights are out.
      Any help is greatly appreciated.

      Paris May 15, 2013 at 10:06 PM

Hi, I will be flying in to Paris Charles de Gaulle (Terminal 2B) and have to catch the TGV to Arras.
Is there a train station close to terminal 2?
Can I go direct to Arras from the airport or do I have to go into Parris and catch another train?
      Thank you in advance

      Jules Verne

      Paris Apr 24, 2013 at 4:41 PM

Has anyone gone to the Jules Verne restaurant in the Effiel Tower? Please share your experience's, food enjoyed....etc. I know there are probably better, and cheaper places to get food. And this is pretty much a tourist trap. But looks to me, if you can afford it. This is probably an unforgettable place to have dinner. In the Effiel Tower over looking Paris.

      Thank you

      Hi,

I intend to visit Paris in the second week of June, to my regret I understand this is too early for the summer sales ("Soldes")... however, where can I get decent quality men's clothes (casual) for reasonable prices, in paris or it's vicinity?

Inexpensive hostels that don't charge cancellation fees

      Paris May 13, 2013 at 10:28 AM

      Hello,

Wondering if anyone can recommend inexpensive hostels/hotels in Paris that don't charge you if you cancel your reservations way in advance of your scheduled arrival (by way in advance, I mean cancelling about one month before your reserved date).

      Thank you in advance!

      accomodation near Train station

      Paris Apr 25, 2013 at 10:17 PM

      Hi all,
We would be arriving at 9.30 am at Paris Est station from Berlin by CNL night train. After spending 3 Days in Paris, we proceed to Switzerland ,(Basel) we have have found

TGV Lyria leaving at 8.32 am from Paris Lyon. Train suitable.

can any one suggest suitable safe locality where to book Hotel /B&B/ apartment ?? so
      1) It is easier for travelling to major sight seeing attractions in Paris
      2) Easier to catch this 8.32 am train from Paris Lyon Station to basel

As we are visiting Paris for the first time, I presume lots of time would be wasted in getting to the right platform, and right train, asking for directions so suggest considering these.

      Thank you all
      Meena

    • DIY Day Trip

by ayukee Online Now May 6, 2011 at 1:39 AM

I'm planning to make a day trip from Paris to Provins with my husband and little boy (below 2 years) via train in June. From other visitors' reviews, I understand that we should make the Tourist Office our first stop upon arriving at the Provins train station. I'd like to know if the Tourist Office is a comfortable walking distance from the train station. It would be good if you could give me an approximate walking distance or walking time based on your experience. If it's too far a walk, are taxis easily available? Thanks a lot!

TRAVELLING TO PROVINS & FINDING OUR WAY

by JANICE3242 Online Now Jun 2, 2009 at 7:23 PM

We will be in Paris in late August and I'm interested in travelling to Provins for a day trip. I believe I can get there by rail. Does anyone know if that is true? We speak no French. Once we arrive in Provins, would we be able to figure out how to get to the tourist information center? I can't find any helpful information in any of the guidebooks. We found it easy to navigate in Paris last year but we used maps. I would appreciate any information anyone can offer about travelling to Provins. My travelling party is two adults and a 13 year old boy. The idea of a medieval town sounds delightful.
