Hi All! I know there are a few questions about NYE in Brugge already but I haven't found any that answer my question.. Essentially, my husband and I (both mid 30s from London originally from US) are looking for a fun place to ring in the new year in Brugge. We don't need a club or dancing and we don't need a big fancy set meal. I'm vegetarian so most of the set meals don't look appealing anyway... Any advice for a fun bar or pub where we can just drink, eat and hang out for the evening? Would really appreciate it!
hello dear VT members, I've been trying to form a list in which I try to decide where to go this December and Bruges is on the list. I've been to Bruges before , I really loved the city. Is it a good decision to spend New Year's Eve in Bruges? what opportunities are generally organized? how is the atmosphere of the city on 31st of December? I'll appreciate if you can please tell me. Best wishes,

"There's a car park at 'Centrum-Station' for 2.50 euro per 24 hrs which includes a bus transfer into the town center." How often does the bus pick up and where are passengers relased? Thanks, Johnny

My son has to travel by train from Paris to a hotel in Kemmel. What would be the quickest & safest way of doing this please? We have been advised that a solution would be via Brussels to Ypres then a taxi from there, but it takes about 3.5 hours. We were wondering about a train to Lille then a taxi from there. Any help please regarding route and/or reliable taxi services from either Ypres or Lille and approximate costs would be appreciated. He is too young to drive.
Trying to find the shop I shopped at last year but now cant recall the name...We stopped at the petrol station, crossed the road and walked back past the ornament shop and the pub, I think it was the first shop in that section of the road. Anyone have any ideas what it is called? Any help would be appreciated as I am going on 1st may...thanks
Hi! Can anyone tell me whether the Castle ten Berghe can be visited by day trippers or is it only for guests staying overnight? If it can be visited by day trippers, is there an entrance fee and how much? Also, I read that we can catch a bus from the town center. Whereabouts from and what are the buses' number/s? Thanks!
We are 6 adults arriving on July 2, 2012 at the Zeebrugge port. Oceania Cruise Lines, ship is the Nautica at 8AM. I need to find out how to reserve a taxi to take us all into town. Does anyone know of a reputable company? Thank you - Susan
Hi, We-and our 10 year old- will be coming from Brussels to Bruges on Easter Monday. I have read many great reports about a guided bike tour in the morning. Do you think I will have enough time in one day to do the bike tour in the morning, and then climb the belfry, take a boat tour and see the Holy Blood and Madonna sculpture in the afternoon? Or am I trying to do too much (which I am famous for?) :) Also thinking about the crowds on Easter Monday-if it would be better to do our own thing in the morning, and maybe rent bikes for the afternoon. We are active and like to see/do things that are unique to a particular place. Not too interested in the art museums for example.
I will be in Brugge this Chrisatmas Eve and trying to find a moderate priced restaurant that will be open that evening.
Can anyone tell me what the weather was like in the port of Zeebrugge on Saturday 3rd December 2011 Thankyou
Hi i am looking for a really nice place to eat with great food candlelight. any Suggestions would be great thanks....
Its my first time, I was thinking about 4 days. Would that be a reasonable amount of time to explore? Thanks in advanced!
Last year I holidayed in Oostende and one day from the coastal tram I caught sight of the HMS Vindictive memorial. I wanted to photograph this but was unable to find how to get there. When I got home I located it on Google. I shall be in Oostende for a short period of time in a couple of weeks and would like to photograph it then. At the railway station halt on the tramway, the tram heading towards Knokke goes up a hill with what looks to be a pedestrian walkway at the side. Is this correct (is it permitted to walk up the slope?). Also as I am interested in railways, is it possible to view any locomotives from the top of this slope? Thank you for any help you can give. John
